Here at Caroline Jax cake studio I like to keep things as simple and stress free as I can for you. That’s why I’ve created this handy little cake journey to take you through the process step by step.

BOOKING YOUR DATE
Once you’ve got a date booked for your wedding (exciting!) then I’d love to hear from you. Not just so I can find out all about your wedding, but also to check my availability. Ensuring my customers are satisfied, and your guests are wowed by what we create, is at the heart of everything I do. That’s why I always make certain I have enough time to deliver the perfect cake for you.

It’s also why I recommend booking your cake at least 9 months in advance as peak wedding dates fill up quickly. I’m currently taking bookings 2 years ahead so honestly, it’s never too early to get in touch. You can secure your date with me for a £100 deposit (non-refundable or transferable).

If you’d like to sample some cake first then you can book a tasting appointment for £25. This includes trying 4 of my most popular flavour choices.

I know everyone has hectic schedules and it’s not always easy to make appointments, so if you prefer we can always arrange a chat over Skype to answer any questions you may have before booking (there probably won’t be cake here though).

DESIGNING THE CAKE
The fun bit! Around 6 months before the wedding we’ll arrange a time for you to come to the studio for a design consultation. These normally last around 1hr and we’ll talk through all your ideas for the wedding over a cuppa’.

By this point in your planning you’ll probably have a good idea on colour schemes, flowers and all the other little details so I can get a good idea of how your cake will fit in with the whole day. I can advise you on the size of cake you might need and after our appointment I will sketch out your design for you to approve before we go any further.

CHOOSING YOUR FLAVOURS

The part the grooms love the most! From your design consultation you’ll take home a complimentary box of cake with 6 of my most popular flavour samples to try.

The current boxes include vanilla, lemon, raspberry, chocolate salted caramel, pink champagne & cherry bakewell. The boxes are great to take home and try in the comfort of your own home to decide on what delicious flavours you’d like for each tier of your cake. There’s also plenty cake to share with family and friends if you like. Or you can just keep it all – it’s up to you!

PAYMENT & DELIVERY

Once all the details are sorted, payment is due a month before the wedding and you can relax in the lead up to your special day knowing everything is taken care of.

I will deliver and set up the cake at your venue on the day of the wedding and make sure everything is perfect, so all you have to worry about is cutting it later on!
